Parlez-vous Wick? Ask Wickman
Parlez-vous Wick is a new, occasional, series to help you keep abreast of Wick lingo. Some recent definitions:
Yorkshire - Yorksire Ripper - Stripper. "We're off to see the Yorkshires tonight, but what goes on tour stays on tour, right?"
Lively - Lively. Can be used in many ways. If something is "lively" it could very well be vigorous. The joint might well be jumping. But it can also be used sarcastically to discribe something that is decidedly NOT lively. "Look at that old age pensioner with a back like the Sydney Harbour Bridge - he's lively". You can also have a "new kind of lively" which can be applied to anything that might be either lively or emphatically not lively for example: "Clarky, you've got a puncture". "That's lively".
If you are falling behind the times on lingo, simply Ask Wickman
